Kachiya moru - seasoned butter milk.
Thoran - cabbage stir fry with grated coconut
Mezhukkupuratti- sautéed potato in traditional spices
Avial -mixed vegetables cooked in yoghurt and coconut paste
Vendakka pachadi- stir fried okra pieces in coconut and yoghurt base.
Parippu curry – lentils cooked with a coconut base
Rasam-soup prepared with tamarind or tomato juice
Meen varuthatu- fish fry

Muttaporichathu- egg omlette with curry leaves and coc0nut
Maanga achar- pickled mango
sarkara upperi -Jaggery coated banana chips
Kaaya varuthatha -banana chips
erissery -mashed beans and pumpkin with coconut gravy
Moru- spicy buttermilk flavored with curry leaves
Thairu Mulaku - fried sun-dried green chili's marinated in the curd.
Pazham- small banana.
Payasam -vermicelli cooked in milk
Ethakka appam-fried sweet plantain
